What Is Christian Counselling?
Life can bring seasons where we feel overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or unsure of what to do next. King David wrote many Psalms expressing sorrow, fear, loneliness, and desperation. He did not hide his emotions from God. Instead, he brought them honestly before Him.
In Psalms 34:18, Scripture says: "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." This verse does not suggest that faithful people never experience brokenness. It shows that God meets people within their brokenness.
We also see examples of God providing help through others. In Proverbs 15:22: "Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed." Seeking wisdom, guidance, and support is not a sign of weakness. It is often a sign of humility.
